Having worked as a customer service representative at a collectible figure experience center for two years, I've witnessed the true selves of men when they let their guard down.

Hey there! I'm an online客服 for a self-service experience place, and for more than two years now, I've chatted with so many people on WeChat. Even though I've never met them in person, their late-night messages and朋友圈 posts give me a peek into the real lives of city guys once they drop their guard.

A lot of folks think we're all about wild parties here, but if you stick around, you'll see it's less about thrills and more about finding a place for that loneliness that just won't go away.

Like last Wednesday night, I had a customer whose WeChat name was Period. He didn't ask any weird questions. Instead, he waited a couple of minutes before carefully asking, Are the rooms soundproof? Will anyone hear me if I cry? I told him our rooms have hotel-level soundproofing and are very private. He was quiet for a bit, then sent a voice message, his voice tired and rough. That's good. It's not for anything else… I'm just so tired. I don't want to go home. I just want something to hug.

I couldn't help but check his朋友圈. It was set to be visible for three days, and the only post was a picture of a steering wheel posted at 1 AM with just two words: So tired. But his background picture showed him laughing happily with his daughter in front of the CBD.

An hour later, he checked out and even sent a red packet with a note saying Buy the cleaning lady a bottle of water. I asked if there was any damage to the room, and he replied, No need for special cleaning. I didn't do anything. I just hugged her and slept. It sounds funny, but I have a home, yet only here, holding a cold doll, could I let my guard down and close my eyes in peace.

The next day, the cleaning lady said the room was super clean. The figure was tucked in, and there was only a tissue used for tears on the bedside table.

Seeing all this, I felt pretty sad. In this city, men are told to be strong, and they're afraid to show weakness to family and friends. So, our place becomes their last mental cave. There's no pressure here, no complicated social stuff, just a quiet, accepting partner.

They come here not for anything else, but to buy some time to allow themselves to be vulnerable, a sense of security.

It reminds me of something I once heard: Sometimes, we need a hug that doesn't speak, doesn't judge, just quietly exists, more than anything else.

If you're tired too and need a place to hide away, the lights here are always on for you.

If you want to test the doll before ordering, as well you are in China, pls contact our team
